Health Insurance
Health Insurance provides access to medical treatment when you need it, and when it suits you. It provides you with the ability to schedule treatment around you or your family's needs, and have continuity of service from the specialist's appointments all the way through to follow-up consultations.
Having time off work can lead to loss of income, and many people find themselves unprepared when a medical condition arises.
By reimbursing 100% of reasonable charges, a Health Insurance policy ensures that you don't have to face significant medical expenses in a time of great stress.
We deal with a number of different Health Insurance Policies that offer a range of covers to suit your needs and budget.
What You Need to Consider for Health Insurance
Health Insurance can be structured in such a way as to fit both your needs, and importantly, your budget. In the majority of cases, our recommendations to people are to insure themselves for either
It is a common view that Health Insurance is very expensive. Health covers are now flexible enough for you to control the cover within your budget. There are options available in terms of adding an excess (just like the excess on your house or car) that can reduce the premium payable. The amount of the excess available, and in turn premium reductions, vary from company to company.
We also have avenues available if you are looking for policies that offer comprehensive dental and GP cover, if this is your own personal preference.
The Health Insurance providers we deal with provide 100% reimbursement of medical expenses (less any excess you decide to take). These companies also provide Prior Approval Services, which means that you have certainty in knowing beforehand whether your claim will be paid in full.
Facets of Health Insurance
Surgery Only: this is a base cover which is provided by all Health Insurance Companies. Generally speaking (and this alters from company to company), this provides cover for surgical and non-surgical hospitalisation, some major diagnostic procedures, and specialists cover for a period before and after surgery.
Surgery Plus Specialists and Tests: this policy is an extension to a base surgery cover, which provides cover for a number of specialists and tests, regardless of whether they lead on to surgery.
